I think it's time to look into a tbox hand brake.....
I don't think it will be a issue with a toyota auto but landy autos brake the park lock in the box and then the bits wreck the box, but that's LRs for u I guess | what size lift are you going for? if you bend the rod on the axel the one for the foot peddle youll be fine (just dont ask me what its called)
roofus i wouldnt recomend putting the box into park on a hill without some sort of hand break or chock it will put a big load on the box but the color sceem looks great
i dont get it whats the problem with the darkside sticker is it a different club or something?

It's not the foot brake I'm worried about it's the hand brake, the cable looks too short at full drop now!

I finished the paint this afternoon! Rumour has it I ran out of green......& there's 'some' of the bonnet that could have benefited from more paint! & the rumour also says I may have run out of orange & used some yellow on the roof!
I obviously have no idea how these rumours started!!
To be honest.....the photo's make it look better than it is......there's a fair few bits (approx 98% ) of the truck where my inability to spray paint shows!! But....as previously stated....if it stays on in the rain I'm happy!
Spool locker arrived toady, no sign of the Lock Right yet though......

i remember when were making that bumper, started off fine with the main bumper then we tried using the bender we hired, and found that those bends there were the maximum bend we could acheive without the tube kinking sooo the hoop (patented ) shape was born
i aslo didnt like at first but definatly grew to like it!
im sure it will be plastered with leinster4x4 stickers
i would recomend keeping the handbrake!, we never had a problem with the wire, and if you do want to be cautious just get santa to fabricate a sleave around it
happy motoring to you roofus

Mad as a box of frogs, so I love it. I think four different colours for the wheels too. Some off set wheels or spacers would transform the look to. It was the best improvement to my cruisers performance.

On my lj I ran 10" alloys with big off set and spacers, It transformed it off road, the flex worked much better with the extra leverage.

That's good to know!
Front bumper seems fairly strong to me Vortec! No doubt Santa will let me know while it's in with him! No better man with a welder!!
If I get my hands on another set of wheels I'll let ya know! But chances are they'll be 10" rims wrapped with 35s

It's automatic Jnr, so not permanently engaged! A friend has one in his truck, apparently it takes some getting used to! But watching where he can go is all the proof I need that it works!

Well the story so i'm told is that instead of weld some ppl use filler..but as said it was in the early days and i'm sure that TIC 7 stuff would be used if done again ...i'm sure it's fine really Roofus, and it'll be a nice clean break if not..getting some practice in?

thats not entirely true!
EVERY JOINT was welded all the way around!!! with one bead, then snr decided to tidy the welds up by smmothing filler around them, looking back it really needed two or three layers of weld to get a proper hold.

one bead is usually enough, the thing to do would be grind it off and try untill you get it right(well practice on something else preferably)did you grind the Galv off the main piece first?even a simple arc welder can give good results with practice..how are wheels coming on?

Got the Lock Right fitted into the front axle....
& I also sorted the pesky electric front hubs so that they're permanently locked. Figured I'd better check I had drive to the front, so I took off the rear prop shaft & popped Jester up on the steps! (Poor flex shots really.....obviously need bigger steps at work! )
Should hopefully get the spool locker in the rear early next week...
& then I just need to sweet talk a good friend of mine & get the roll cage sorted!
