My newly acquired 404 has a compresor hiding under the bonnet.

Nothing attached to it so n belt and no pipes

2 questions

1 anyone got a belt size?

2 What controls the compressor as i can't see any unloader on it so i can't see any reason why it won't just keep pumping until the tank safety lifts. Also there is no way to clutch the compressor in and out. So what controls air pressure?

The compressor is designed for air brakes on a trailer I think (I've two of the things kicking about waiting to fit).

My plan was to use 2 blow off valves and just let them vent. Reason for two is in case 1 fails.

Belt size, run a bit of string around the spare pulled and measure then length, then go to any part factors and I'll be off the shelf.

air operated brakes on mog and also adjustable air brakes for trailor,
compressor is permanently driven and it blows off when limit is reached via the valve work,
basicly air assisted brake with your hydraulic system,
does that make any sense ??
