hi, what kind of power can an sj410 transferbox take? im thinking of a 1987 honda prelude 2.0, im not sure of power, around 160 i think??? not sure about torque though, also any info on the car would be useful

You will need to upgrade the T-box mounts though as standard ones are cunningly disguised marshmallows and will tear in half.

the 2.0 preludes are only 130bhp ish, well my 1994 one was anyway, i would check on what way the engine rotates because got a feeling alot of hondas rotate anti-clockwise but could be talking out my a** here,

fairly sure durddz-suzuki-redtop is running a SJ transferbox in his redtop powered SJ so should take it Cool

as for power, did abit of reasearch and its anything from about 100bhp upto around 200 so not to sure????

the 2.2 vtecs were up at about 200bhp, but whatever it is, it will be ample for a vitara anyway Smile

They reckon the limit for an SJ Tcase is 300bhp.

IF its mounted correctly.

It NEEDS to be mounted in a "bucket"
Picking up on as many bolts as possible.
