started like this
[/img]http://l26.sphotos.l3.fbcdn.net/hphotos-l3-snc3/hs066.snc3/13369_187278760671_500125671_3480906_6312742_n.jpg[img]

so i started with a pickup cab, iv then built my cage on to the chassis and made a tray back, just with my fuel tank about 4" above the chassis rails and thats where the bottoms of the pickup bed is. only inbetween the chassis rails though. ali checker plated my mud guards and pickup sides in, and poped a lid on. it stays realy dry inside as well. bit of silicone around all edges neated it up nicely.

Yeah just make a frame and fill the cap in. Sometimes you use the back door of a tintop. I used the roof to make my roof but it had been rolled so couldn't use the back door if I wanted to.

Scottie, you got any close ups of how you get the soft back to clip to the sheet metal? Im wanting to do something very similar on my vitara.

I haven't done the bottom yet as i've lost the clips but i'm going to use that standard clips that come on the soft top and the sides are sealed/held shut using velcro, got some sticky back stuff then stuck it on but it came off when you opened it too fast so i sewed it to the soft top and added a few rivets to the back of the cab to make sure it doesn't come off.

you could use velcro all the way around though.

What's the Velcro weather like? I was going to rivet some poppers to my cab then fix the other half with the little tools you get when you buy them. You can buy them
of eBay for caravans n stuff
