My wife Sara has just got herself a SWB 2.5 Pajero for the trek to and from work. She has started a new job and the quickest route to it is through some of the local forrest roads that are often flooded when the weather turns nasty.
The Pajero seemed a good choice as it is diesel, can run in permanent 4x4 and is an auto to make traffic queues easy on the pins. Wink

Leaving it standard would have been a little rude so I made a bumper, added a brace of spotties for those dark lanes when she is on her way in on nights and threw some 33" Baja Claws on to make it look the part.

What do you think?

Paul. Very Happy

Wish I had the chance, I'm far too busy in work to go playing.....( sound of sombre violins plaing in the background). Wink

Jas. You will have PM in a moment. Very Happy

G. To be fair she really likes it. I think it's the cheapest car she has ever owned as well. Cool I'll have to get some advertising on it as it sticks out a mile in her staff car park. Wink

That looks great, Paul... love that front bumper... makes it look well hard! Wink

What wheels are they... they look the dogs too! Very Happy

If your wife has to drive through a lot of water, it might be worth fitting a snorkel... and I'd consider raising the alternator... they're fitted very low down and prone to getting soaked and doofed as a result! Wink

Sorry for not replying sooner, I don't get on Differs as much as I'd like. Crying or Very sad

I have been asked by a few of my customers to make some more tube bumpers for the Pajeros. Some just want a tube bumper to keep the nose weight down and others would like a winch bumper.....Both are possible.

If enough people would like one, I'll do a Differs group buy to get the cost down a bit more, but I'd need to know numbers and style prefferance to see how cheap I could do them. Cool

Paul. Very Happy

thought they only had to be in pairs if they come onwith the main beam? not hard to take the fuse out come MOT time though! Laughing theres a few disco 3's knocking round in ayr with 3 spots on a rubber type a bar thing and i thought if they were on a seperate switch you could have od numbers? might be wrong tho......

As for the bumper, exactly like that would be spot on! Spot!!! get it..............that one was wasted on you lot! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Razz

anything than can stand a slight knock against a tree to stop bent wings and panel under the grill would be good! ill try and find a pic of another type that looks less complicate but it can hold a winch aswell. a way of mounting some spots. ut anything strong and id take your hand off to get one! Laughing Laughing Laughing

I'm very interested, Paul... depending on price, of course... winch style, please, but without brackets for spotlights.

I also have a mate who would be interested... same style. Wink

Bravo!

Looks Fantastic.

Ive been spending the last few day researching a 4x4 to buy to start green laning. and the look of this pajero is really swinging me in the jap direction.

do those 33" tyres fit right on without any body/suspention lift?

would you be able to disclose your exact tyre size?

thanks

That bumper does look very good.

Do the outer spots foul the head lamps though?
