Just a quick one:

Does anyone who's coming have a spare (working condition, not necessarily new!) kingpin bearing for a samurai that they could bring with them? I think mine may give way!!!

I literally cannot wait Very Happy Very Happy I have a question though:
My mate (or 'winch b**ch') has lost his driving license, and now can't find his counterpart.
Will he be allowed to drive on the day? Can provide valid insurance details along with a passport if that is proof enough? He'll be so bummed if he can't have a drive!

I have just had to ring Colin to say I won't be coming. I've not been able to get warm all day and I've barely ventured out of the house. I don't know what is going on with my health? Colds in Sept and Nov, Flu in December and now feeling like ***** again. Evil or Very Mad

I was really looking forward to this weekend, meeting the other Differs - especially the Scottish contingent and playing in the mud (even if it was only to take photo's and cadge a ride round with somebody).

Maybe I'll feel well enough to come down early Sunday on morning?

Hi All,

well guys what can I say. Awesome site, excellent company and loads raised for a good cause, does it get any better? I think not.
T and Bertie Bass came all the way down from Aberdeen on Thursday night and slept at my place. We didnt get to the site until 8pm on friday and a few of the guys were already there including RJB Autokraft.
We set up camp and had a lovely meal of beef ribs and fried potatoes (very unhealthy but lovely) Very Happy

Saturday morning was cold and a bit overcast but we set up the tyre pull which again proved as popular as ever but a bit more difficult that usual as we put a few 'trick' section in. as we had started a bit late we then ran the treasure hunt. Basically Tom & I hid a container onsite that had a voucher in it. All of the cars that took part in the hunt paid £5 and had 1 hour to find the voucher. If they did they split the money with Team Chaos, if the voucher wasnt found then Team Chaos kept it all for charity, which is what happened. Very Happy

We then decided to have a nightime trial section which was timed. RJB set out the course and drove it and set the time. All the participants had to do was to match their time, the only trouble was that they didnt know what the time was. They walked the course in the daylight and then set off when it was dark....a few of them were lost straight away. We sent them off at intervals so keep them spaced out but Pete Scott managed to catch the car in front Shocked

We had an auction which was very well supported, so much so that Bertie Bass even bought some of his own recce gear. The V8 coffee table was bought by a very generous Pete Scott.

Sunday was beautiful weather with blue skys and unbroken sunshine. As usual RJB Autokraft set out the punch hunt which challenges even the best off road drivers but is huge fun for experts and novices alike.

Whilst this was going on I had a race against Matty and his dad Vtrax. I dont know how he does it every year but Matty beat me again by 2 seconds Wink and is now the proud owner of a very limited edition Team Chaos hat which is only worn by our drivers and navigators, so well done to him although revenge will be mine next time so Matty....beware lol.

It was also great to see Mrs Parrott up and about after her recent surgery and Janex who provided some lovely cakes which proved very popular with everyone ;0)

Huge thanks must go to Rob who runs Core 4x4. Without him there would be no event as he gives us the land free of charge and he really enters into the spirit of the event.

To thank everyone who has helped would be almost impossible but I would like to thank a few people publicly for their help and support.

RJB Autokraft for their help in setting out the trail and punch hunt and for supplying the trophies.

Rob of Core 4x4 for the loan of the site free of charge.

Pete & Katie for supplying all of the paperwork for the weekend.

All of the people who donated items for the auction.

T & Bertie for all of their hard work.

The other members of Team Chaos (Maria, Michael, David, Georgina, Tom) who make my life a lot easier by sharing some of the workload.

But most of all the people who came along and supported the event by taking part, by buying auction items, by donating and helping others who are less fortunate.

To you all I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Very Happy
