I was at first surprised when opening my old seat replacement thread, ( I was wanting to pass the link onto a NZ forum.) and found all the pics were missing.
However Gadget boy pointed out that all pics,vids must be in the gallery. So I checked all my threads and low and behold all the pics are missing.
Now the only reason I used difflock is because of the ease of use and the good group that is on here.
Now to do a build thread you need to ad pics along with progression or no one can build a pic of what you are doing.
I welded this bracket here onto this bit "see pic " oh no wait you have to go out of this thread and into gallery look for me and find pic number 156, then come all the way back so read the next bit and back again. Crazy
No Forum has ever been this strict and I think it sucks, and someone just complained on the lada site about a lada specific part being up for sale and it got removed so no lada people will see it.(we dont mind for sale in our tech thread) and the whole thread complaining was removed. is this not what the KGB did under communist rule, squash any opposition no matter how justified or open it is. How about a bit of democratic discussion about it. a vote maybe????
But no the moderators are slowly destroying difflock and it is a shame because I used to love my little lada section.

as for the for sale ads they need to go in the classified's section like the rest of us,if you lot dont read them then its best to start reading them.
the mods are just doing there jobs
pics on build threads are ok and fine but its when it goes off topic that it may/will get moved
i am with you and am peed about the pics going but if it keeps difflock going and safe so be it,just a small price to pay to keep a great forum going

all my pics were on topic and designed to help anyone else doing the same job.
you cannot have a forum with no pics in build threads, it just does not work, if in all this time the site has only got one hack then that is not bad odds, better than having a site with no members because the system sucks.

all my pics have gone in all my build threads and the only reson they were delete'd was due to the hack,i have uploaded more pics now and they are still there.
they have done away with the bottom upload button so we now need to use the top one to upload pics

yep and i had over 20 page's on just my fourtrak with pics that are now gone plus 2 other build threads that no longer have pics.i will put all my pics togeather then do a you tube vid of them,its not the same but is better than nothing
have you still got the pics on your pc??

Only a few, and why was there not a notice put into all sections notifying people of the removal of pics.
I feel for you if you had that many pages, but beware because no youtube links are allowed in tech anymore.

i dont know but they did say only the pics from one date(cant remember what the date was) onwards got delete'd but thats not true.
when they had the problem i only found out as i look over the whole site and it was posted that difflock comes up on google as a site that could harm your pc and thats why the pics are now gone.
yea its bit of a bummer about my build thread,when i do a vid of my pics i will put it in the gallerey section then post a link on my build thread to it

Try looking at the Problems Section chaps!
I had my Alldys pics deleted then reinstated after a few days but some seem to have gone forever.
Let Simon know and may be he can sort it .......
