You asked at just the right time, work has started again so It should start moving along nicely again. The inside is where the work is going on at the minute. Mounting the gear linkage and all the gear tunnel and the likes are in now. Ill get some pics and info up soon. Should be going to my mate for full exhaust in stainless, equal length maniflods too.

Not many updates to speak of. Both seats are fitted now, along with the gearlinkage for the auto box. Steering coloumn and orbital valve are also taking shape.
Anyway here are my shiny new wheels

Those wheels will finish it off nicely, evry truck just needs that small touch of bling
are you still going to use patrol wings for the front skins?

After some complete guess work we are thinking around the 1700 kgs mark but we will see. At this moment in time the cog is very low but there is alot to be added yet. Although most weighty things will be fairly low down winches, fuel tank, batteries and steering ram.

im on 4.88-1 at the moment with 37 boggers so 4.66-1 with 40 trep comps will be a bit taller but i cannot see it being a real problem, your gearing will be good. i feel that my low box is too low i drive most things in 2nd or 3rd, only really using 1st when winching, but at the de-cider night stage we ran out of gears, we were on the limiter quite alot of the time, its just a bit too low.
the problem is the high being 1-1 is too high it work out to do over 80mph in third @6000rpm im thinking about using somthing else with a lower high ratio. but the lux box with the trail gear stuff is strong as. i cant see it breaking.

Yeah im hoping the power of the lexus should still propel 40's along nicely in hign box if i ever need it.
The only thing I have heard to break on the hilux case is the output shaft whach can be upgrades quite cheaply to a bobby longfield.
I would have like to fit a doubler in but I ran out of room.
Are you hoping to marry the v6 to the hilux t case in yours then?

its already in there with the v6 but yeah a twin case is the next line of thought at least then i will get a 1-1, 2.28-1 & 4.75-1 but the length is a problem especially eith a zooki chassis.
how long is the unit from the crank pulley to the rear output shaft on yours?
