I can't decide wheter I need new ones (only £12 a pop) or whether they are just dirty with "waterproofing in a can" or whether they are drawing too much current :s
After about 1 min of use the solenoids get extremely hot (I gathered they would) but they do smoke, like smoke smoke.
Winch still operates, but I soon stop as i get anxious, its a warn 8000 winch
Has anyone come across anything like this before ?

wireing is perfect mate. Im going to take the solenoids off and then clean them first and see if that makes a difference.
