Excuse the repeat post but I figured some LPG people may not look at the Suzuki forum and wanted to pick as many brains as possible:-
Hi,
Have been thinking of possibly putting an LPG kit into my 413. But there are a couple of issues I am not sure about and would appreciate advice. The car is running on webber carb.
1) Do i need a special mixer between the base of the carb and inlet manifold. Does anyone know where I can get this from.
2)Does the petrol shut off turn off an electric pump of does it stop the flow through the pipe. The reason for asking this is the car has a mechanical fuel pump.
The kit I've been looking at is on: -

Any advice welcome.
Thanks

1) No, you need a special mixer that goes between the carb and the air intake - upstream of the throttle disc.
Available from LPG kit suppliers - you've found one , here's another - Tinley Tech. Talk to 'em. If they won't talk to you, don't buy from them.
2) Petrol shutoff shuts off petrol feed, i.e. it is a valve - so pump type is immaterial. Pump won't mind flow being stalled, its the same as the float chamber shutoff valve.
Have you checked what your insurers will think about it - some will want a safety certificate.
