Does anyone have experience of either Vango or Robens tents, I am looking at getting a 2 man for a bit of camping later this year. I am looking at:-

Robens Small Dreamer
Vango Spectre 200

I have found both online for the same price of £69.00. Robens is 5000HH, Vango is 3000HH. Some reviews however say because of this the Robens causes condensation.

Any opinions?

Pat.

Used and owned plenty of Vango tents and they are usually good tents. Never used a Robens before but that looks like a better tent than the Vango.

Ive had tents similar to that before and condensation can occur due to the shape but the Robens should let the condensation run to the smaller end and it may drip onto the inner but Ive never found it a massive problem. Youll be grateful of the higher HH the first time you camp in a heavy storm.

If you are planing on sleeping 2 in these tents then it will be cramped especially if you have kit. Ive always bought tents with ratings of one more man that I intended to use it with (eg. I want a tent to sleep 2 then buy a 3man).

I have just bought a Vango Force 10 second hand.
Its very good and being cotton it wont suffer from condensation problems.
What ever you buy make sure it has two layers IE inner tent and fly sheet as some of the cheaper stuff has no fly sheet so its more likely to condense and leak
