do the 1.6 conversion
with the 413 box
you will need a conversion plate
theres no point in putting in the 1.3

i would just look for a carb'd vit engine as the ignition system will wire straight into the 410 loom (have a look in the stickies for my write up) I think you'll need a vit/sammy ignition coil though as the 410 one is different, you might be able to use it though? Is the su on the 1.3 lump you have? If so use that on the 1.6 just change the spring and needle (also a write up by nigel head in the stickies covering this)

ah in that case you wont be able to use the su as it will be a hif38, you need a hif44 for a 1.6
And yeah you'll need a bigger rad, some people use a sammy rad but IMO you should fit a vit rad, there's another write up in the stickies on how to fit a vit rad into an sj.

i'm still running 410 axles with a 1.6, 4:1 low box and 33s, only destroyed one cv joint so far and that was during a punch event when i was giving it some beans and lifted a rear wheel. all the power went to that front wheel and bang i'm planning on fitting sammy axles soon for a bit of extra strength.
Oh and thats a hif38, A hif44 is 1 3/4"

i used the vit manifold and downpipes then made the rest of the exhaust from scratch, its 2" from the down pipe back, using vw silencer (poss from a mk2 gti??????) and a cherry bomb tail pipe, have a look at my build in the custom builds section and there should be some pics!
