A little question : after you finished it did you have an iva / sva test or did you just get in and drive it ?

i spoke to dvla and vosa and they said basically that there was no need as i havent altered anything that would affect steering or braking also as its listed on the v5 as a 2 axle rigid body there is nothing about wheel base or lenght . so they said it didnt need a iva/sva thank god but being a lcv technician i have built it to a supidly high standard but if it did come to it i would sva it

just asking, but isnt that window quite low down? wont you have touble using the rear mirror?

Im always interested in DIY rear windows as i need to do one.

I like it from the side tho, looks natural almost. You havent just chopped it and gone cage tray backed.

Nice job.

Here's what I did with my fuel tank. It's better than wasting all the space in the pick up bed.

The spare is strapped in where I want it to be... just got to make a bracket Very Happy Rolling Eyes

the window is only there for when offroading as the spare wheel completely blocks your view. so when your in a tight spot in the mud you can see whats behind you Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

good post on ORRP pasted from the classic car forum where DVLA have finally given a defacto reply to several questions.....

a lot is re monocoque builds & mods etc but the area that does affect us is this....

chassis mods include forward and rear of the axle section not just the 'wheelbase'... so looks like IVA required for all us who have built bobs...

Cheers Steve

Should be a good thread Very Happy

Probably going to need to be thick skinned given the threads on here and compertition trucks. The MSA cage argument was a bit intense Shocked

But the workmanship on this project says it will be a good motor Cool

Are you thinking nice purposfull budget clubman class, or are you thinking kick-ass?
