Hi All
I was just wondering why most gen 2 pajero's lights dont work on the back, Obviously the ones on the bumper work but lights up side pillars dont work. Every other one i have followed does not work either.

Because they're not wired up..... ?????

I was under the impression that most PAJEROS don't have bumper lights, instead they have only the normal corner ones. The trick is to submit it for its SVA/IVA with the spare wheel removed, then there is a non-issue in terms of the spare wheel blocking it. SHOGUNS (ie, UK specification) started out with just those, but ended up with bumper mounted lights too, part way through Mk2.

Why they're not wired up, I have no idea, it would make sense to 'double up' the lights, just for a safety/convenience point-of-view if a bulb blows.

cheers paul, i might have a look at running a piggy back wire from bumper lights straight up. Do you know if this will cause any issues?

It won't cause any issues at all, after all Mk2 Pajero electrics are normal (not CAN-bus) stuff and the wiring and fuses etc are well able to cope with the extra lights on a trailer, my trailer has 3x side/marker lights per side, 2x indicators per side, fog and brake lights and works fine.
