can anyone recommend me a winch for my suzuki sj,
i want one for the front for offroad day use and green lane use,
i have a winch bumper on the front,
my sj is a bit heavier than standard it has an external roll cage and a 1.9 diesel ldv lump in it.
ive been looking at winched on ebay around the £250 mark they sem to look ok but arn't any special name does this really matter?
a friend recommended a 'warn' winch like hes got on the front of his old rangerover, but then i saw the price of them.

have a look for winch solutions , they do decent kits for decent money . i got mine from them and its far better than the so called cheap one the wife got for me.
www.winchsolutions.co.uk , i think thats right.
for the kind of cash your looking at for that one you can get a champion 9500 which should be more than enuff for your needs.

for the money the cheap ebay ones seem ok, a lot of people have them and for occasional recovery they do the job. When it breaks you may struggle to get parts so its a case of when t breaks bin it.
Champion arn't much more expensive but the service is A1 if you ever need parts etc. I'm told that the TDs is the same as the goodwinch just badged different. Got mine from http://www.lrsoffroad.co.uk/
