Are Jap and spanish ones compatable at all?
spanish one is a bit odd with a 3 wire connection but it looks like its earth low level light and level signal?
had fun getting the tank out last night as the mud around it had frozen to the chassis and body even though my truck has been in the garage for weeks.

I had a spanish 3 pin in my old jap SJ413 and it worked a bit, it would show empty 1/4 tank and full and nothing inbetween. It was enough!

ive put a jap one on my spanish sammy and im having trouble with it. it didnt work at all, then just said full all the time, now it just randomly goes up and down soon as you turn ignition on. Could be faulty i have no idea. I cant see why the shouldnt be compatable as you only need the yellow and red wire looking at the wiring diagram. your bang on with the black being earth and the other for a warning light. im going to try another sender see what happens, my local scrapyard has just got one in
