hi im new to the forum and have a series 2a class 2 trialer - fully caged dumper tyres , offset rims , power steering , brilliant 2.25 petrol (not putting a v8 in ) , loads of bits that are quit specialized the only problem is its got the most rotten chassis you have ever seen - im mean the gear box no longer has a cross member as it has rusted away and the gearbox sits on the sumpgard so when i got offered a rangerover rolling chassis for £25 i was quik to say yes please Very Happy and so in the new year we will start rebuilding it on the rangy chassis just to give you an idea of the vehical i will try to post some pictures although the computer doesent seem to like it

I think we were all thinking that, but were to polite to say anything Very Happy

We all need a mate/stockist like that though. They tend to have a selection of useable parts for that 'thing' were trying to do Laughing

If your going 88" coiler n.r.g97, check your rear prop can angle enough. I had to air-grinder my new standard 88" rear the other day Confused Is you leg good enough to start building yet?

my leg still isnt good enough to do anything so to me it makes sence to get the parts i need while i cant actualy do anything to it labour wise thanks for the advise on the rear prop but im running the standard engine/box so surely it will be ok am i right in thinking this if not please correct me thanks and sorry theres not been any progress but as i cant actualy get to the workshop were i was doing it and were the vehicle is stored i think i have a good enough eccsuse? Very Happy i do have enthusiasm though as this is my first landy i probebly havent baught this other landy , cant afford it i mean come on im only 13 also the cars and caravan , suzukis are actualy my dads its only the rangy chassis and landrover that are mine and the only reason ive got that is because my dad used to specialize in landrovers (b.m.gibbard landrover services if anyone knows of him and used to trial with all wheel drive club in a series one called doodlebug and then later on in a daihatsu f50) and had one in the corner of a feild rotting away!

Ok I'll let you off! I used to be the same when it came to rwd escorts, I collected lots of bits but I did build a few too, luckly escort bits have sky rocketed in value since I collected it all.

And it's nice to have a lad your age who can type without using text speak!

thanks for that , yes i will be using fiddles , i would have liked to go 80" but although its got a series box innit at the moment so it would fit , i have plans that at some point it will have disco/rangey/defender box so 85" sounds like a good length but the the thing with 88 or 86 is you can use standard body panels............which is a lot simpler and easierfor the sake of 1"................if it were to be a class 1 mod(awdc) then i probebly would but as it is i wont
