hi all...

Recently changed head gaskets on my 300... Done them before so now real issues...

Only problem comes now it's finished... Car starts and idles fine, but has no power past 2k rpm... And i mean nothing... Almost as if there is no boost... But there is!

Basically i've tried most things i can think of but to no sucess... Anyone on here have any ideas???

have you plugged the pipe from the turbo actuator back into the fuel pump?

are your tappets too tight? if they are the valves will never fully close and youll get low compression.

did you mess with the timing at all?

replace fuel filter and fill with injector cleaner.
Check the fuel lift pump. My brand new s**tpart one failed after 200 odd miles. Genuine one in now and it will actually rev above 2k.

All the turbo hoses as mentioned, also check there are no blockages in the turbo to injector pump boost pipe as with boost you need more fuel.

Maybe adjust the starwheel in the injector pump to reduce the loading on the spring that the boost pressure pushes against to allow fuel in easier?

Should still rev even with no boost compensator

DON'T adjust anything on the IP until the engines right!

Clean the fuel sedimenter out that is on the chassis near the ****.

i had a faulty stop solonoid once that was sticking and only partly opening and restricting the flow of fuel into the injector pump, try removing the plunger to allow full flow. don't forget you'll need to stall it to stop the engine though.
