Think that he is saying they are a bit weak so if your are in the mud or the going gets tough take it easy with the right foot.

I heard of this happening to some bloke I bought tyres off, the MT tyres he bought to replace the AT tyres he sold me made the transfer box come off its mount with all the extra forces from the grip. I am sure there are ways round it, maybe it can be replaced, if the forum has taught me one thing its that if there is a way round it, someone has done it, you just need to ask them how!

I've got one, 2" body lift some 31x10.5 buckshot mudders only get stuck when I run out of ground clearance in the deep ruts! Looking at doing a suspension lift at some point just to gain that little bit more clearance.

Vit totally standard is not as good as a standard SJ...
BUT...
As with any 4x4 you can mod it as much as your budget allows to create a monster..
Some Vits worthy of note... Nick Ingrams.. James Holloways.. MarkyB's...
Dave Jones Superzuki... Matt C's orange beast
ANd thats just a few from yesteryear..
SAE70 has a uber tidy diesel Vit.. but dont think he posts on here anymore

Can be made quite capable,
Commercial, 1.9 Diesel, steel axle, LSD, lowered diffs, 3" bodylift, Calmini suspension, 31" tyres , 10" rims. Full underbody skid plate. Rear disks, etc etc.

Wow Ricardo that vit is stunning, looks very mean! Where did you find a commercial vitara though? Are they called something different? I have never once seen one. do you do any really rough work with it? (show us some muddy pics )
Anyone got a link to a thread about the uprated diffs? would be interested to see how that works

Diffs are standard Vit diffs (but are lower than than those in diesel commercial, so lower the final drive to make up for the 31" tyres)
Im always driving (green lanes) and dont really do play days butheres a few, of mine and friends Vits.
Dave Jones (Bits 4 Vits, stealth' Vit out laning)
Daves old Superzuki.
My old one , comming down Hollinsclough lane.
Then Dave (B4Vits, if you couldnt guess)

I think they are great for lanes but if i were doing pure play days then would consider an SJ.
Not going too far with the lift is important unless you want to spend quite a bit on strengthening other areas.
