I've started stripping my 406 axles for my new project.
The brakes are in a bad way, I need new Pads Pistons Springs etc.
can somebody recommend some one who does new or second hand parts(not too second hand I will want to stop)
all I know is the axles came from a '74 mog, got them from Atkinson vos back in april. want to shop around get a few prices.

Hi ya Mick I'm in kilcoole.
I've heard this can be done but where do you connect the callipers? Have you seen it done or do you know anybody.
I have the all the old running gear off the 110 and its in pretty good shape just needs pads.
Cheers

hi mate all the parts you need are on ebay at time of writing , how ever price is high enough.A disc conversion might be better with regard to of road use as shoes seem to wear out fast when full of sandy water. my mog has been converted to regular 416 discs all round but it does cause problems with drive shafts and bearings as the drive shafts are a different diameter , but thios can be got round with new axel bushes and oil seals . kind regards fred.
