please please please can diifflock ask advertisers to let us know where in the country they are, most parts are too big to post and vehicles could be too far away. it takes too long to e.mail the advertiser, why can't they just say in the advert where they are ???

2 seconds!
However I do agree that it is sensible to put a location in an ad

not "too long" to write the question but waiting for the reply, it would be much better to have the location in the advert. simple.

im a bit confused as to which adverts.
if you are refering to traders, then most parts are NOT too big or heavy to post.
i have moved engines, axles and indeed sidesteps for a g25 van (the A team van, sidesteps measure 17 foot long) not only around the country but also around the world.
and as for too far away, the whole country is only small comparativly..............

What you ask seems common sense to me
Thing is we don't have control over the advertisers and whilst we can suggest many don't think.

Nobody disputes with the fact that advertisers should disclose their location, if I buy something I like to know where it's coming from. It was the bit that said most items are too big to post that caused confusion.... I ordered 2 chevrolet cylinder heads from Dennis (lindenengineering) in Colorado USA and they were delivered by fedex in just over a week

ok, why do members take what has been said out of context and come over all agressive?
the reason i asked was, as has been said, i have sent and recieved stupid sized stuff from and to various parts of the country. i didnt realise that i had to spell out the fact that any trader would be stupid to refuse to post goods out in the current climate.
if you feel that my original post was an attack on you, i suggest you employ a literate grown up to read it back to you again.
