I have a 98 2.8 tdi pajero. i was wondering is it possiable to put the locking back alex out off a shogun into it. Are the ratios the same??? the LSD just dosent cut it when the going gets tough, and a mate has a shogun. it is unstoppable with the diff locked!!

Any help is greatly appreceated.

you must look at the bulkhead VIN plate (to ensure you have the same diff ratios)

here's mine...

Under the Transaxle bit -

V5MT1 ? not sure about - but the next part - 5285 - is the diff ratio.

You would also need to install the electronics and compressor ect that you need to engage the locker.......

these trucks are so cheap it's not worth the work, sell yours and buy one that has a locker, which is still probably cheaper than buying a locker for a Range Rover/90.

I saw a rear axle with locker go for £50 the other day....

try buying one of those for a green oval at that price !

V5MT1 indicates a manual gearbox

3.875 is possbly the ratio of the axle. i put a shogun V6 front axle in my L200, my rear axle has a locker in. It's not that hard to fit a locking axle to the rear though for you. Just collet all the parts from the donor vehicle.
