Would you expect to see the same colour of deposits as you would on petrol? I imagine maybe not as there are no additives and it burns cleaner?
This is a method I use periodically so as a check after setting the carbs up on petrol but not sure if I need to buy / borrow a gas analyser for setting the mixture on LPG... I don't think it is miles off because I am getting similar MPG as on petrol and performance is better on LPG.
Relatively new to LPG (see LPG transplant thread) so sorry for what might seem a stupid question!

Have since had a chat with an LPG installer and he says no, incase anybody wondered!
