The 4x4 Suzuki Super Carry is a real truck from Suzuki. Obviously not as lifted as taht one, but you can find import ones kicking about.
I missed one a couple of years ago on E-blag, it was was also fitted with Mattracks. I have been kicking myself every time I see one since then.

I have been searching the net for a couple of my favourites but with no luck. One is a Suzuki based Escort van and the other is London Black Taxi on RR running gear and 37" tyres. Sounds wierd but it looked so right.

The sad thing is that my nephew weighed in a solid Rascal with a dead engine toward the end of last Summer. The engine only gave up because somebody drove it from N Yorks to Luton with the oil filler cap off.

I always wanted to create a Volvo 145 pickup along those lines. I had a Volvo 145 but a mad ex sent it to the scrappy while I was at work - just because the brakes failed and she drove it into the brook. Thankfully she ate the dodgy mushrooms when that failed.

This is sort of what I had in mind for the old Volvo 145. It is a rubbish bit of MS Paint on my part but it gives an idea.
