Hi all
several years ago the owner of a local model shop showed me a prototype of a i.c powered off road car that he was hoping to market, it was based on a commercally avalaby kit possably F.G but he had fitted a rear axle to the frount and with some other clever bits had made it 4x4.
Unfortuneatly due to some problems he gave up the shop and left the area but i have always wanted to know what kit he used as a base ?.
All i know is that it was zenoa powerd and that it was larger than a marder at about 36in in length and i think it was on 6in tyres that did not seem oversize on it.
does anyone have any ideas what it could have been based on as i would like a large scale off roader but the marders seem to small for the money.
thanks
Mouse.

Well I'm no expert (yet ) but from what I've read online until the recent 'craze' for RCRC it seems as if people who wanted one would have to cobble them together out of various bits so it may have been just a whole load of stuff that ended up a 4x4?

yes thats true, but i seem to remember that he used just one kit as a base and that all the extra components to make it a four wheel drive where from the same manafacturer as in the front axle was from a front wheel drive model and that was used to get the 4x4 set up.
Ah well i guess i will never know, but i have found a kit that is about 3ft long and about 18in high and i have a set of plans for a series 3 kicking about, I can feel a plan forming .
