If you've not done this before, get a Haynes manual. Make sure it covers Rangies before 1985 (if thats what engine you have?). At least you'll be able to identify what sort of carbs you have Smile

cheers, Ross K

Tickover should be a screw that opens the butterfly valve in the carb. Its mormally a slotted screw and locknut on the body of the carb that pushes the throttle lever open a bit. Thats true of most carbs. In this case there are two, one for each, so adjust them the same amount.
To be really flash remove the air filter pipes and listen to both carbs individually. Adjust the quietest one by screwing the screw in a quarter turn. When the tickover is right and both sound the same your done. Very Happy

You can afford to wind the tickover up quite a lot on a manual gearbox, which will stop the plugs coking up so easily on steep banks on tired engines. But on the auto it would cause you to lurch off every time you select drive.

Mixture is a bit more tricky, so I would work the vehicle, remove some plugs and see what coulour they are. If its not white or black at the tip and the power is okay, I wouldn't adjust.
