|
|
|
I am looking round at the moment for a pickup truck for a mate (generally for the future) and need some advice on the alternatives to toyota (just to find out what else there is).
requirements:
under £1500 (but the cheaper the better)
doesn't need to be in pristine condition (a few dents and scratches/tears in interior)
needs to carry a full bed of logs (varying trees)
very reliable
good off-road
so far I have on the list of suitable.
Toyota Hilux
Nissan D21
Mitsubishi L200
Izuzu Pickup.
Any other suggestions? (not land Rover as he doesn't want one!)

Tata Loadbeta.
A guy I work with used to have one for his landscaping business and he really rated it.

Why not go for the Hilux? You know it will be bullet proof and just do the job.

gotta be the hilux, mk3s are the best. if you want a cheeper version of a lux they were also sold as the vw taro and little known fact some early tatas are based on hiluxs
nissans are ok
l200s are just overpriced flash
izuzus are very robust with good engines
mazdas aint worth the money
suzukis are great little things but youll be hard pressed to find one
