As most Vitara's (barring late ones and GV's) had 15 inch wheels anyway then they should fit ok.

Thanks MR Tyre.
Some one told me I needed a lift to get them on, the 195s look big, so the 235/75/15 are even taller and wider so will look better, it was just a cheap way of getting some tyres I could use in the mud.
Have to try them as I am swapping them for a roof rack and he hasent come for it yet.
I cant afford to start modding it, the whole idea was to make a cheap green laner/ pay and play day car that could still be used for tip and school runs etc

They are nearly 2 inches bigger in diameter than the oe fitment 195/80R15.I would swap them for 215/75R15's myself, it would save having to lift it to make them fit.

Problem is they where a good price, some tell me they will fit others say not with out a lift?
Problem is its going to cost me £200 for another set as they dont come up second hand very often, might be cheaper to lift it?
All I want is 195s but in a mud pattern

Winchman, why not put them on and see how it goes (i myself don't think they will clear), if they catch then don't use them. But be careful if you damage them they will be worthless.

Thanks for all your help
I managed to get a set of used but good condition 195 x 15 Colway C-Tracs MTs, for £40, cost me £30 to get them fitted! fitted them yesterday, got to take the mud flaps off though.
Seam ok but noisy on the road, but I can live with that.
So all I have to do now is flog 1 set of 195x15 ATs
and a set of 235/75/15 so I can use the garage again
