I've been puzzling over a problem with my Volvo 6x6 and got curious. How does the Pinz 6x6 drive system work?
Photos/drawings appreciated

The Pinzguaer uses transaxle/transfer boxes connected by torque tube through which the props run. the Pinzgauer of course does not have solid axles it has independent half swing axles coming directly from the transaxles. It is possible to add additional units and torque tubes to gave a multiple axle drive like the Tatra 8x8 or infinite number of units so long as they are steer types otherwise it want go round corners. their are pleanty of images of how the 6x6 712/718 Pinzgauers work with bare spine shassis and body removed.
I am a bit pushed at present to locate one but some one will post it.

Herewith the diff configuration. Pinzgauer shares its design with Tatra but nothing else.

Hans Ledwinka designed the Tatra his son Erwin Ledwinka designed the Pinzgauer . Both where austrian. Hans was about when the Austrian/Hungarian empire still exsisted and the Czech republic was part of it , hence the connection between the two , Tatra and Steyr Daimler Puch .
