|
|
|
i am after an ecu for my 16v sj conversion, the engine came from a 94 auto vit, but i haven't got the ecu. i bought one from ebay off a 96 vit but i failed to get a spark, i tryed the same ecu in my mates jeep but same problem. i fitted the ecu off my my mates jeep and that worked fine.
i have managed to source another one on a k reg vit, only trouble is the numbers on the ecu don't mach my mates. so i'm not sure if it will work.
so what i am asking is how many different ecu's are there for the vit's
the numbers on his are
R3 UNIV
33920-57B6 O
100797-4450
12V
And the numbers on the sourced one are
33920-59B3 O
100797-4450
12v
the difference is B6 and B3 anyone know what these mean
any help would be great
Ash

Ive had the same trouble sourcing an ecu for my 8v Vit.
Apparently there are about 8 different model numbers that i know of.
You need the exact same number as the 1 that worked (your mates number)
Gotta love the way Suzuki keep it simple

I had to dump my efi because I could not get an ecu to work because of the immobilizer that was not given to me by rob storr from whom I bought the engine.
Try to contact rhinoman, very helpfull bloke and he knows a thing or two about them.

The ECUs have a tendency to corrode internally. Whip the lid off and look for corroded PCB tracks under the capacitors. If you find some find someone who's competent with a soldering iron and they can patch it up in minutes. I did mine in about ten minutes flat.

There was a changeover on the 16Vs and the early models have a slightly different pinout. I can't say if those two numbers are interchangeable. It could just be a minor software difference, both ECUs appear to have the same Denso part number.
