Does anyone know where I can get a Jackall 8000? I can find loads of Hi-Lift suppliers but no Jackall. Ideally not e-bay as most are collection only.
Thanks,
Pat.

Thats where I got mine.
Out of interest, why are you going for a Jackall? I only got a Jackall as I was buying it for work and we had an account at machine mart.
I've found it works fine, just I've never seen anyone else with a Jackall.

I had a Jackall, but it got bent when I went under a tree
Next time I mount it, I'll make sure it's better protected.
Cheers
Shaun

two words "metal fatigue..."
google it and bin the jackall you heard it here first....
and two tonnes isnt heavy.... a well stuck ninety will require a lot more than that to unsuck it....

I've had a Jackal for 5 years, but will be replacing it with a highlift, now that its started to bend
Its fine piece of kit but ALL the accesories are for a highlift and dont quite fit it. So get a hi-lift and all the bits will fit

Back in the day when I was 19 and started playing in the mud Jackall was 'the' jack and Hi-lift was the cheap inposter. I just carried on from that opinion.
It strikes me as odd that the Jackall is rated at 8000 lbs and the Hi-lift at 7000 yet there are reports of Jackall failure.
Fatigue occurs over many cycles and would be an unlikely method of failure in an irregularly used jack, poor workmanship of the manufacturer producing stress raising charateristics in profiles would be more my concern. Jackall have/had a good name so this does not concern me.
Mr Bowyer also rates them, I believe on this very site.
At the end of the day price is mostly what it is about, and I have even been looking at the 36" Hi-lift on Devon 4x4.
There are a couple on e-bay at the moment so I shall bid and see.

Pat , you are correct, the matal fatigue i was refering to was repeatedly staightening a jackall weakens it via the phenomonon we know as metal fatigue....
the choice of alloy and control during to forging process make me suspect the cheaper product cannot be using the same grade of materials.
i am yet to be convinced but open minded enough that i could be persuaded to use a jackall, howver it is my personal experience that the highlift is really tough... and i can usually break anyhting..

Jackall for me, I have never liked the Hi-lift, just a personal thing.

My Hi-lift got a very slight bow in the ladder, though I put this down to using it for casting out of ruts with the base still fitted, which is not recomended practice.

Had a Jackall for 10 years - used fairly infrequently, but absolutely no probs if you keep it clean and lubricated.
