Hi

After having problems with switching over to lpg, i have now the situation of a non starting engine.

Any one got a quick fix to switch over to permanent petrol, the switch itself is now not working, but the problem existed before this happened.

1989 land rover 110 3.5 v8 twin carb.

?????

Pull the fuse supplying the gas system, it will default to petrol mode.

No idea. Everybody puts them in different places. It's probably a blade-type fuse dangling in a red or red/black wire somewhere. Very often directly to the battery terminal (horrible habit, but see it lots)

good luck, Ross K

There should be a solenoid in the fuel line to the carbs, probably 'open without power' so if you remove power to this you should get petrol flow.

As for disabling the LPG, there will be 3? solenoids in the Gas delivery line. Take power away from any of these and the gas stops.

Any use?

Chris

The petrol shut-off solenoid is usually "energise to OPEN". They do usually have a manual opening device, a thumbscrew or lever, but it isn't always clear which way to turn it allow petrol flow Sad
