I've just bought a pug 306 with the Lucas injector pump.

I have found a Bosch injector pump for it as like my disco I would like to run it on veg oil if possible.

Is the Lucas to Bosch a straight swap or are there complications e.g different mounting positions ?

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

I think the injectors are different between the Lucas and Bosch pumps, so you will need to swap those as well. There doesn't look to be much difference between the layout and timing belt but I've never tried to swap them.

Our PUG 306 had a Bosch to start with which was one of the things I was looking for.

OK thanks, my way of thinking is that the xud9 engines must all be pretty in similar in the 306 so the injector pump whatever make should hopefully fit !

You need the injectors and injector pipes to go with the Bosch pump.

But otherwise they swap over just lovely.

You'll need a proper dial gauage for setting the timing tho - obviously.
