Not a criticism but an observation

Your pics look over exposed and i guess they are taken by your younger brother with the wee D50 nikon. The D50 tends to over expose so either put it into P mode and set it so that you have -0.5 showing when you hold the +/- button down or shoot in raw mode and get some software to correct the over exposure. Otherwise his pics are quite good.
