Depends!!!!!

Many are in the 3500-7500GVW class (404, 406, 416), so you need 7.5 ton licence, which they gave away until 1996/7. I think it's class C1, but could be wrong on that.

*BIG* mogs can have GVW in excess of 7500KG, so you need a more proper HGV licence.

It is possible with some buggering about to re-register at 3500GVW - but this is only viable with a 404. It gives very little capacity.

Not sure about the ity-bity cute ones.

So when did _you_ pass your test?

jim

If i is for agricultural use I do not think weight is a problem. Unless things have changed. However that does mean agricultural us and not a family shop around. a number of years ago one used to see Fleets of JCB fast Track Tractors towing enormous trailers carrying sugar beet along the A 45 to the processes. I do not know if that is still going on I know HGV drivers were very annoyed as of course the tractors could undercut them as running costs were so low on red deisel and no MOT and low cost vehicles comparitavely. I do know that custom & Excise are more attuned to sealing with abuse in some regions.

hey jim you refering to me mog as inciwincy(ok i'l let you off)
BUT CUTE IT AINT Wink
you could get a 411 mog which a quite rare and fetching good money(but looking at all mogs now they are all getting more exspensive to get) or even a 421 these are rated below the 3500 threshhold but are rather slow and cannot be used on the motorway
or if you could do like jim"shaggy" and down rate a 404 they can be used on quicker roads but dont exspect it to be quick or comfy
