Nowhere near as pretty as some of the American home made efforts I know! Took me pretty much a full day if I had gone at it continuous - thought it would go quicker than it did, but then I always underestimate these things! Cool

Unfortunately I could not find a way of using the four bolt holes around the rear output flange due to the drum brake assembly. Despite this when I nipped one side of the mount up in a vice, there was no movement at the other end when swinging on it. Not exactly a scientific I know, but think it will help big time with case damage if I get a bit rough with the clutch in low. Twisted Evil

Naturally I went for a quick test drive:- the hi ratio reduction is much less than I expected (supposed to be 21% for a 5:1?), but the low range took me a bit by surprise - it is ridiculously low! Can't wait to try it properly now! Laughing

Looking good. That should take some abuse.

I am glad somebody else has a well abused workmate as well. Laughing

I'm on the lookout for some LR ones, although I have never had any trouble with the standard ones on 410 box this one might ****** them. Been told there are small and large LR mounts, but not sure which series / year / model? Thinking I may need the smaller ones because of room near the drum is tight (had to trim the zook one down a little) and I beefed the area up around where they sit, so can't go much bigger.

By a strange coincidence, I made this today:

It uses a Land Rover front Hockey stick bush which is 2" diameter with 16mm hole in the middle. Pressed in to a piece of 2" ID CDS tube - all very easy.

No way it can escape no matter how loose it gets!

I agree that LR engine & gearbox mounts are rubbish though!
