Hi, Just coming from the zuki scene and wanting a Mog, What is the smallest Mog available (still need to follow zuki's in the woods) how much do they go for, I want a runner but not afraid of a bit (lot) of work as i can weld and bend tube etc. I saw one on here (white crew cab) that i fell in love (lust) with. i don't need a massive load space but would prefer a 4 seater. Any help welcome but please note I'm currently not in the market to buy but want to get a feel for prices etc. Also whats the parts availability like. I'm looking to buy in around 2-3 months time. Thanks in advance for any help and advice. Mark

i guess mines the smallest mog a 411 its shorter than the zook same width and hell of a lot taller these a quite rare now and the last few i saw for sale the reserve prices were £5000 these come in swb67" and lwb84"(i think) if you buy one they are very simple but very well built you could easily mod a lwb one into four or five seats as im doing with my lwb

the more common...and cheaper option is the 404. Mine has had 15 inch overhang chopped off and is the same length as a discovery, and as high as a semi high top transit.

114 inch wheelbase

My mog was basically a rolling chassis and rebuilt it using sheet metal and L*** R**** doors and odds and ends. Its by no means a show vehicle but is ready for the 'trails' as Jim puts it.

heres a blatent pic for you to...hmmm.....drool over

That's the beauty I'm was on about. It may be a silly question but does it have some sort of body lift as there seems to be lots of space between chassis and body. What does something like that cost before the work was done and how much have to put into it? is the soft top custom or of the shelf, sorry to be nosy. Mark

no body lift, just as ma benz intended, may have something to do with chassis flex. originally has the spare wheel mounted underneath, and I have a non original pick up bed.

I bought the basic rolling chassis for £500 of a mate, worth that for the axles alone I thought.

I must have thrown around £800 at it to get it to the stage you see now, which is far from perfect. And spent nine months rebuilding it. The use of a long reach forklift proved most useful when lifting the body onto the chassis

The hood is custom made, there is no part number for a doublecab soft top, and mine is custom to fit rollcage. all handstitched by my other (better) half

I did however manage to get a few freebies to help me on my way from fellow difflockers

best of all is the £120 fully comp insurance,MOT exempt and free tax Very Happy

have a look at http://forum.difflock.com/viewtopic.php?t=16916 to see how bad it really was.
