I've just fitting the prototype Hoodoo2 lift kit, ie rubber rings in the front as per the rear (spacers are frowned upon in my part of the woods).
Using 20mm Balljoint spacers the lift is about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches. On my 205/80 16s the cross member was 10" from the ground, now it's somewhere around 11.25 to 11.5".
Fully pics here: http://www.ladaniva.co.uk/baxter/hoodoo2Lift/hoodoo2lift.htm
No time to chat, now I've done my tracking - I'm off to field test it...

Ive used rubber rings on top of my springs before and had to weld some tube to the bump stop turret too keep it all central as the turret only has about 15mm shoulder at the top.
What did you do or perhaps your rubber is made to this shape?
LOOKS good.

Yep, we had the same problem. Hence the use of the white locator rings. Seem to have worked fine.
Any chance you take an accurate measurement of the diameter of pipe you used?

Knew i had something else to do today besides weld that pickup.
From memory it was standard pipe at 2.5" inside diameter it was a dead fit .
Will double check but maybe a few days as its cold out there.
Having a go slow at the moment on project as its all crap work and no interesting stuff.
What you done with back.
I finally got round to fitting my shock spacers today and was surprised that the rear end went up 5/8". But them gas shocks are good.
Any pictures?

Pictures of install at http://www.ladaniva.co.uk/baxter/hoodoo2Lift/hoodoo2lift.htm
The rear has the Hoodoo ring lift as well, but it's still on standard length shocks at the mo'.

just stick some spacers on like i do its all scorpion racing give you with there kit.
Rough measurements=4x
40mm flat x3mm thick.
75mm long
with 2x12.5mm holes drilled at 42mm centers.on the center line of the flat and equally spaced from ends.
you will need some 12 mm bolts to bolt plates to original mounting i used a Long one with an old spacer between but 2 bolt would do ,and then weld in position if you wont.
they do give you gas shocks as well though.

Cheers for the picky, that's pretty much what I though last night (as my current dampers are only a year old). Anyone got a picky of the Scorpion Racing brackets?

Do the front cones vary? I've measured at 80mm ID .

I was looking at one the other day placed on the tube and it was as good a fit as you would wont.
When i did mine a while back it was good.
Ill try and get a measure off a spare subframe Ive got of the turret but I'm 99% sure it will be 75mm.
John lowering that rear arm down next on pickup it was a sod to get the bolt and sleeve out but Mr grinder took care of it.

Is there any point in putting angle iron on that rear arm as Ive just done lower front ones?

Lower front? Er, the front has solid wishbones.
I suspect you mean 'should I brace the Panhard rod?' (ie behind the diff), and that you've already done the lower rear arms (ie the lower arms which come forward from the rear axle) as we have. Yeah?
In which case if you have enough spare angle lying around, yes it'd be worth doing the Panhard rod as well, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it as it seems reasonably out of the way and I've never seen a bent one.
I'd probably only go out of my way to brace the Panhard rod if I was trimming the entire rear of the car and exposing it to getting bashed.
Back on topic:
After a couple of weeks of some city, highway, off-road and heavily corrugated road driving all seems to be well. And I'll have another wee measure tomorrow now it's on stock Russian mud tyres.
