just got a disco 2.5tdi on an l reg was wondering if i can run this on veg oil and what sort of percentage should i use to diesel??

You can run a 200Tdi on veg-oil, but the proportion depends on the temperature - if you heat the oil you can use it neat. There are lots of comments in the LPG, Bio Diesel and Alternative Fuels section.

i use SVO with diesel mix depending on tempreture.
At the moment im using about 2 parts deisel to 1 part SVO mix.
No mods needed to tdi apart from carreying spare fuel filters and regular engine changes.

Err do you mean engine oil changes? Im a bit dubious to start this until after winter

High Percent blends of Veg aren't reccomended for Direct Injection engines due to the damage caused when starting from cold - and also Idling with low piston crown temperatures.
Basically cold veg doesn't spray properly out of the injector - therefore it doesn't burn properly and sticks to the pistons and cylinder walls, this gums up the piston rings...
a proper twin tank conversion is the proper way to go, start on diesel, warm through, then switch to veg - 100% veg if you wish.
