i have been doing my gearbox selector conversion, i now have the option of 12 forward gears, 8 reverse gears, and a pto output, my gears available are with using the crawler box,
so i now have, low box, medium box, high box,
also reverse 4 gears in high and medium gear positions,
myself and minimog, ( tristan ) will be finalising the design modification and will be offering the conversion on unimog 404s in the future
happy mogging,
oh and my very own engine transplant of using a nissan patrol 3 ltr engine is near completion,
happy christmas and a very happy new year also

I will be very interested in that one! How difficult is it to find a crawler box?
I have taken the reverse interlock out of my standard 404 box - hoping to get some high ratio reverses.........and it makes no difference at all!
In high ratio, it doesn't matter where you put the Forward - Neutral - Reverse stick......it just goes forward in high ratio?
I was looking at shortening and bending down the F-N-R selector to do the high and low - then doing the forward neutral rev with another lever on the side. Is this how you have done it?
