can anyone reccomend somewhere that makes custom rims?
i'm after a set of 16" rims with a load of offset for my zook.
i either need somewhere cheap or really expensive so i can justify spending £100+ a corner on mach 5's.
thanks,
mike.

if you're still after some wheels I have a set of five HOME BUILT 16" wheels with as much offset as I could possibly make that fit a Daihatsu, which I believe is the same as Suzuki.

They are made from Dai' centres fully welded into LandRover 16" rims and have survived about 5 years of trialing without any cracks or bends.

The Dai' centres are the white spoke / criss cross design

If you're interested let me know, but they are PURELY OFF ROAD WHEELS.

Oh yeah, I've got a set of Weller white steelies as well, very wide 15" that will take the 31inch plus 15" tyres, five of them as well I think.

Dave

Shoveled some coal in and took the pics!

outside of wheel, crappy yellow paint. All 5 are pretty much like this.
They aren't fully welded like I thought but you can see the long welds in this picture, and it's the same on the back.
I welded them with a big 3 phase mig welder, with the two parts (Daihatsu centres and LandRover rims )mounted in a jig to keep them true.
They are ok, but obviously I've never had them balanced! None are bent or twisted either.

Front side again

Showing width. I used 7-50x16 Mudplugga's on them for years.

Showing offset. 30mm from hub face to inside of rim.

Back of rim, again the long welds can be seen.

There's five of the buggers. If they're any use, make me an offer.

PURELY FOR OFF ROAD USE.
Dave
