|

Howdy,
To run another mogstock we need insurance, and hence a club to get it. How hard is it to create one - I've tried to look at the MSA site, but it's been down for a few days, and I have a short attention span :)
Has anyone started a club, and what does one need to do. Does it have to be MSA?
Top tips welcome,
cheers,
jim

Create a club, then a committee (min three I think), create a club constitution, sign some forms and pay some money.
then go though the rule book to find out what you can actually run.

Drop Richard Dover richard@difflock a PM. He's recently arranged insurance for his Club for non MSA events.

Creating a Club is easy and cheap. Download the forms fill in the blanks and then the name is listed for 4 weeks on teh MSA site for objections. If there are none you'll get yer club.
MSA permits cover competitive events and basic social events like AGM, Annual Dinner and Promotional days. You only need private 3rd party cover if you are running non competitive stuff. SWATC uses Alexander Frobes and cove for around 12 driving day type events costs ~ £1800 for around 120 members.

Where is this on the MSA site. The MSA recently approved a Club here which we might have objected to if we had known!

There is a 'ticker tape' running on the MSAUK homepage linking to the list of clubs looking for recognition
