Hi all,

Earlier I was getting your opinions on changing the bumper on my Disco, so now my question is: When I fit my heavy duty bumper with fitted x9 onto my Disco 300 (if it fits), what do I need to do to my suspension? I am currently running with standard springs and Monroe gas shocks.

Cheers,

Ro

Hello again Ro,if you want to keep your suspension stock, the springs you're supposed to fit up front with a winch are NTC8477. If you want to go for aftermarket springs, there are several options, but the OME 751 heavy duty springs work very well with a winch bar combination.

Good point Craig, although with standard suspension I foresee a very nose-down Disco. I must confess that one of the main considerations for fitting a winch for me was to weigh the front down, as I was getting too much lift with my 3" coils. Even with 2nd battery and winch fitted, it hardly made any difference.
