My guess is that reality is digitally improved... but it's well done! I think it's a part from some TV-commercial - but I have no evidence of it...

In my opinion it's not real. Even the rocket ship acceleration up the hill looks suspicious (my Niva can't shift like that going down a hill let alone up!). It's well done though and still pretty cool.
And as for that engine note, sounds a bit like a v8 dubbed over, why would they do that if it was real?

Ditch the exhaust pipe just after the Y-junction and it will sound like a big-block V8!
