Hi guys,
Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to transport a cab inc. roof (not the cabrio) for a little 421, from some place in Germany back home to Ireland?
I am in the south of England working at the minute, with a well filled LDV Pilot (ne-Leyland Sherpa). I had initially thought of driving Dover-Calais, France, Belgium, Germany. Have it lifted onto the roof of the Pilot, laid on its back and strapped down. Then drive the whole shebang home to Ireland, oh yes! via the Nurburgring, I want to watch a race there on the 20-21 Oct.
But now I am having a few doubts about the wisdom of the plan! The van is quite heavily laiden and the cab could put me over the weight. Also with the cab on the roof I could attract the attention of the Police more easily.
I have thought of buying a trailer here and towing it to Germany etc. But if anyone knows a better way???
