Is it my imagination or has veg oil suddenly become very expensive ? I bought 60l of corn oil from tescos and lidl's last month for 49p a litre,this week its 89p !
Is it just East Dorset or is anyone else having this problem ?

| Same everywhere, best super market price I've seen lately is Co-op at £1.89 for 3 litres. All the others are over the £2 mark now for 3 litres

Makro is about £15 for 20l now too...
Think I have sourced myself a supply of SVO straight off farm, will report back...

Just bought some SVO from local Cost Cutter. £1.78 per three litre. Now waiting to see what the next lot he gets in will cost.

There is a guy near york selling Cold Pressed Rapeseed filtered to 1 micron for 53ppl.
Seems pretty cheap at the moment.
get yerself an IBC and go see him

Doesn't need degumming because its Cold Pressed.
Only Hot pressing brings out the gum.

Cost of rape veg. Mr Sadbwstd here had an afternoon to kill while in Leicester yesterday (and free gas in the Co. car  )
Prices from around that area:-
Costcutter £2.09/3 litres (70p/l)
Spiceland Food (Asian food wholesaler) £10.99/15 litres (73.2p/l)
Sainsbury £2.21/3 litres (73.6p/l)
Asda £2.21/3 litres
Lidl £0.78/litre
Somerfield £2.45/3 litres (81.6p/l)
I ought to get out more?
