Right, I'm thinking of getting some buckets for the new Mog.
Been looking at the Cobra Monaco that everyone puts in triallers but OMP do a seat for similar money. Anyone put competition seats in a 404 before?
I'm wondering what access and the driving position will be like since the cab is fairly short. I'm 6'5" and 17 stone so don't want the seat moving me any further forward than the current driving position...

Buckets may not be the way forward - you end up moving around a lot in a 404 and I think a bucket would be too restrictive.
We ended up with the seats out of an old MG metre, which have good side support but aren't buckets. They have a nice simple fitment and move as well.

Thanks for the tip. I think the seats are needing replaced anyway so i'll do a bit more research... How did you mount harnesses/seatbelts jim?

I found buckets very restrictive in my old landy, anything with limited access will be difficult. try going to a scrappy for a pair of recaros recliners from an old cavalier sri or something similar, the prob with landys is the lack of height between seat base and steering wheel, if this is the same in a mog, look at volvos or metros, both have a shallow seat base.
