Now that really looks the biz. Me likee alot. Are the doors removable? Nice concept but imagine trying to get out when in a gully or against a tree Very Happy

But if someone is capable of building that I am sure they have thought about it already. Very Happy Very Happy

Can't wait to see it in action

I seem to remember another stainless steel rig with gull wing doors:

Does yours have a flux convertor too? What happens when you get over 80mph?

the co-driver door will be removed when on events, a bar will replace it. the front windscreen is designed to pop out from both inside and out, its been thought out very well.

I am going to see him this week so will have lots of pictures before it gets muddy next weekend, will have lots of video that ill put on youtube as well. The front and rear bumpers must be the most expensive stainless steel fairleads going, you would not believe how long it took and what was involved. Shocked

Really don't like the wrangler arches though they really spoil the looks of it.

its a std g wagen chassis so the wheelbase is 91". I cant tell you how long from bumper to bumper. It weighs 1750kgs, thats 800kgs less than his last G wagen. What I did notice at its first outing was how easy it was going over obsticles, and lifting the front up 1:1 hills from a ditch, the winch just sounded under less strain with the engine in the back, and I guess losing over 800 kgs.

How much as in money ?, Tony has all the receipts, but he will never tell you how much it costs, with all his labour taken into account, Im guessing £30 to £40k, The attention to detail is superb and Id say worth every penny. But will it win him events ?, I hope so but there are people out there with lesser motors that can, and will do just as well.
