hi all
not been in in here before, but it looks a lot like the other forums on the inside dosent it.
anyway l have come by an egale rv jeep body in excellent condition, all fiberglass and as light as a feather, well l can just about lift it and walk with it anyway, l have lurking in the barn a g wagen rolling chassis in good order that l was harboring thoughts of fitting with a vitara shell and V8 engine and box, but as this jeep shell has come along l thought it might be a good idea to use it instead ? the original g shell was well rotten and taken off and discarded last year, man are they heavy even when half of its rotted away it still weighs 40 million tons. the wheel base of the jeep matches the g pretty well so what do you think, will a light weight body on a g wagen chassis be a good idea ? or is the weight required to get the springs to work ? or am l committing sacrilege by putting some thing other than a merc body on a g wagen chassis

the only downfall with g's is there weight, in boggy ground, lose as much weight as possible, ie stick that shell on it and you will have one hell of a motor, strong, reliable, and best of all lite

G Wizz
they are heavy aren't they, l ran a lwb g for a year or so, l still have four depressions in the concrete drive where l used to park it, and l'm to scared to work out how much fuel it used, but the rr l had after seemed frugal after the g, the swb rolling chassis l have was a 5 cylinder diesel but l have seen quicker tortoises so l wont be useing that, might as well have a proper burble
nice looking g by the way G Wizz
cheers andy

are you looking for a jago jeep body ? l have one for sale, its just a bare body, jet washed to death so nice and clean in a sickly yellow, was going to use it myself but decided to go with the eagle body instead.
cheers andy

hmm depends on your version of very cheap, it might only be cheap as aposed to veeeerrryyyy cheap, but then again if you were thinking it was going to be £100 then is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery cheap at £75
so its for sale at £75 l removed it from its chassis, myself cleaned all the underseal and crap off took out the remains of the wooden floor ( stupid idea useing wood for a vehicle floor ) and then steam cleaned it all over. comes with sheet of 3mm ally to make new floor ( 8'x5' worth more than £75 on its own ) any way its sleeping happily in my barn if its any use to you
