I am interested in running my Land Rover Series 3 on Veggie oil, it has the standard 2.25l diesel engine fitted, the only mods to the engine are TDi air filter and spin on oil filter.
How do I go about changing to veggie oil, do I need to make any mods etc. etc.
I know very little about this so I need your help.
Many thanks
Stewey.

Hi bud.
If it has the Lucas CAV pump which I think the 2.25L does then no.
You will have to fit a device to heat the oil as at normal temps the oil is to thick to lube the pump.
With all respect, if the car is a nail and you're not bothered about it then see how you go but if you cherrish it then fit a heat exchanger.

Have a look at the biodiesel thread.
It might answer some of your questions.
